Family Reunion

The family wanted to surprise the 94 year old Great Grandmother with a family reunion in Fiji, her birthplace.

42 family members were flown to Fiji for 10 days to experience a historical family tour.

Starting with a traditional Fijian banquet in Nandi, the family were able to meet one another and share family stories.

They then flew to Taveuni, where they had a tour of the plantations and building remnants where the great grandmother had grown up. They also visited the shop her father used to own as a child, the plantation where her 7 younger siblings were born and raised and the stone foundations of her grandparents house.

Matungi was the last stop. A chance for the family to relax and enjoy each others company in the idillic beach setting. Here they were able to experience the snorkling, kayaking and scuba diving the island had to offer. On the last night of the tour, the family was treated to a traditional ceremony performed by the local tribes.
